Peter Mumford

Mr. Mumford comes to Seattle via New England—having grown up in New Hampshire, gone to school in Maine, and worked in Boston. Upon moving to Boston after graduation, Peter convinced himself that he had to commute by car, even though he had walked to school and work every single day from preschool through college. After finally summoning the courage to bike to work, he found that commuting in the city can be fun, especially when he started passing cars stuck in traffic on Dorchester Ave. Peter enjoys games of any variety, rock climbing, singing songs around a campfire, attempting to bake bread, and doing just about any outdoor activity thrown at him, particularly those requiring snow. With a penchant for profundity, Peter delivered unto me this little pearl of wisdom, and I quote: the ability to move around one’s environment efficiently, independently, and sustainably is essential to the American spirit.
